Ficathons

I do this every time. I sign up to stuff and tell myself that I'll get stuff written early, leave myself plenty of time, get it sent off with ages to spare. And every time I'm sending it in about 1 minute before the cut-off point.

I'd like to take this opportunity to apologise to the mod of every single ficathon I've ever done (including sga_santa, because even the one I run isn't immune to this) as I'm one of those people who leaves stuff to the last possible moment, omg! Er, sorry!

(On the upside, I've never defaulted on a ficathon, yet...)

I was working on my Psych fest story yesterday (for the fest I'm running), Saturday being the day it was due, of course. I told Al I had 1500 words of my story already and she was shocked and amazed and astounded--and then she realized it was the Psych story, not the Primeval story we'd just sent out assignments for last week. *vbg*

I remember sending one of my co-mods (either you or aithine) a 'where is your fic?' mail when I chased all overdue fics, just to be scrupulously fair and make sure mods didn't get preferential treatment. Of course, the ones to the other participants were very carefully worded 'please let us know when to expect it or if we need to organise a pinch hit' whereas the one sent to the co-mod simply said, "Do I have to spank you?"
