I made an account to post on a forum purely to correct someone's ranty comment about the canonical inconsistencies in the X-Men movies as compared with the comics.

I've become that person who can't go to bed because. Someone. Is. Wrong. On. The. Internet...

(In my defence the entire "And Mystique and Sabretooth are Nightcrawler's parents!!!!!!!" line was wrong wrong wrong. Mystique and Sabretooth are Graydon Creed's parents. Mystique and Azazel are Kurt's ::grin::)

(Also, the comics are inconsistent with the comics. Sometimes, it's best to just go with it...)

How would Sabretooth even be closely related to Kurt in the first place? Most of my knowledge of how mutants work comes from the X-Men cartoons I watched growing up and stuff I picked up from other less history-laden Marvel comics, but even I know that at some point the powers that be decided related mutants should have related powers.

I think he was probably getting confused in that Victor is the father of one of Mystique's children and she's Kurt's mother, so Victor = Kurt's father, which is just wrong ::grin::

Confusion is a perfectly valid excuse with all those complicated family trees. :D

I'm afraid there comes a day in every reasonable human being's life when they just have to make that account, correct that wikipedia, slap that moron at the bus stop. It's just a fact of life. ;-)

I know I should have just left it, but I couldn't, and before I knew it my fingers were typing. But at least I deleted the "Try cracking open a comic book before opening your mouth..." I'd typed on the end before I hit post ::grin::
