OMG yes, for a second I actually totally thought they were going there. And I was completely expecting to have an aneurysm when it happened. What they did actually made more sense (because we've seen the angel magic, because the drinking of blood is coded as evil), but damn. How hot would that have been?

When Cas cut his arm I actually couldn't breathe out for a few seconds because I was so sure that's where they were going. I mean, the entire angel!magic was hot, but dude, I think I would have whimpered like a pile of goo if they'd gone the sucking route.

I had this (very short) mantra of "holy shit, they're going there, holy shit" in my head as it was happening. Can you imagine? Dean with both hands wrapped around Castiel's forearm, staring up at Castiel with this expression of "holy crap, what am I doing?" mixed with "nobody but you, dude" and "Castiel".

I didn't, but only because I'd seen some promos and knew Cas was going to go for the banishing spell.

BUT. If he had offered his blood to Dean, you would have heard me in Toledo, as they say. Because not only would that have been totally awesome, but I so would have called that, for once in my life.

Nope, my mind totally went there, in fact I think Dean's mind for a second went there. And incidentally that would be a fun thing for them to play with in the future, if demon blood does one thing it'd be fun to see what angel blood will do.

I'm also guessing that the risk Cas is taking is higher than Dean realises, I doubt angels just get to 'die' in a straightforward way like humans do, particularly when they've effectively deserted. Ah well. Roll on next series and hopefully all will be revealed :)

It could still happen if they decide to go for a mirroring thing, if Sammy needed demon juice to be able to take out the first demon, maybe Dean will need something a bit extra to finally fulfil his destiny and take out Old Harry himself, I can see the touching scene now with epic speeches about self-sacrifice, fluttering wings and maybe the old faithful crystalline single tear of emo!man!pain :)
