So, I've been working as a temp at this place since last June. Last November an e-mail came around advertising permanent jobs. I filled out an application form and handed it in. I get a letter saying the interviews will be the beginning of December. And then I get another letter saying they've been moved back to the beginning of January. I eventually had an interview on Wednesday. "We'll tell you on Monday," they say. And then they start taking people away to tell them today. First person comes back - didn't get it. Second person comes back - didn't get it. Third person comes back crying. The three of us in our section who went for permanent jobs are now all eyeing each other. The boss comes and takes V away. V comes back, but has been sworn to secrecy over whether or not he got the job. M then gets taken away. She comes back and it's my turn.

Anyway, to cut a long story short (too late *grin*), I am now no longer a temp!

At least I won't be a temp starting from April 1st, which is when the permanent contract kicks in. And V and M both got the positions, as well :-)

I'm still doing the job I'm doing, only it's better pay, sick pay and more holidays.

Personally, I think they hired us because we're too damn fabulous to let go *grin*
