The mods of gibbs_dinozzo have just done a blanket ban on genderfuck stories, saying they don't want het posted. It's now made me want to write female!Gibbs/female!DiNozzo 'cause, dude, that's still slash ::grin::

I haven't written anything else, yet, but I'm eyeing the picture post and thinking about strip chess. (Why, yes, I go for the lowest common denominator, why ever do you ask? ;D)

::grin:: The mods over at gibbs_dinozzo have just posted about how genderfuck stories aren't allowed. There seems to be a distinct undercurrent of "We don't want icky vaginas in our porn" in some of the comments from the post that kicked off the question and I may be reading too much into it, but the only thought it's leaving me with is, "Wow, I really gotta get around to leaving that place..."

Though I saw the post and I kinda get their point. It's a slash comm, so het isn't going to go down well (no pun intended). Maybe they've had an influx of genderbending fics? Though on the other hand, they're still them no matter what their body is...or are they?

It's an interesting question. If you're (generic you) are on the comm because you're a fan of the characters then surely you'll be a fan no matter what body they come in.

Like I mentioned further up, maybe I'm reading too much into it, but some of the comments gave me pause.

When faced with the question on another pairing specific comm which I co-mod, we came down on 'it's the characters, not the body parts'. It was a dilemma though, & not everyone was happy but in the end we felt that those who didn't like it could always scroll past, like they would for any other themes or authors that they didn't want to read.

Only if it's wrong to join a members only comm in a fandom you're not into just because someone on your flist posted that it had wank on it. (And it did. It was beautiful. ;p)

Having read the post I'm confused. If it was a slash comm I could see it... (I know het comms that accept genderbending fic if it ends up M/F) but it's not a slash comm, it's a pairing comm. So surely the pairing should be fine?
