I'll need to be up at *what* time?!

Pretty much the entire still-living cast of BSG is signed up to appear at Memorabilia in August. Which means me making a trip down to Birmingham for the day. Now, I did this when Eliza Dushku appeared there a couple of years ago, so no big. Only, when I'm checking train times, it looks like I'll be on Newcastle Central Station at 4:30am. Which puts me into Birmingham at 9:40am. Ideally, I'd get the train that gets in at 8:40am, but for that, I'd be at Central Station at 2:30am.

I've had a look at hotels, and I was debating just getting a hotel room and travelling down on the Friday night, but weighing up a hotel room at £70 for the night, I really rather get up at stupid o'clock (or more likely, not actually go to bed. I mean, sleep? Pah! Who needs it!) and spend the cash at the event as opposed to giving it to a hotel.

Thing is, I know I'll do it and not care about the cost. Because it's BSG. This was my first fandom. Dirk Benedict was my first crush *grin* I had (and still have *g*) A-Team clothes hangers. This is the guy Temaris and I bought Cult TV tickets for, even though we could only go for one day because we were at a different convention, hired a car and drove from Blackpool to see. Hee!

Also, from July 15th, Channel 5 is showing SGA :-D Love the SGA, live the SGA.

I don't think I ever saw BSG, probably my first fandom was ST:TNG although I had no concept of 'fandom' at the time. Dirk Benedict always makes me think of ATeam (I liked Murdock better than Face - shhhhh!).

Oh gee, thanks for cheering me up ;) 19 weeks - I can do that. Yup. Sure, I can. Maybe the boxset might be out before then ... ::sighs::

Just tried to cheer myself up and break the ghastly addiction I've been having to Sky News by watching The Storm and The Eye on my nice new 36" tv with separate receiver - what an utterly horrid and weird day.
