I was going to go out and shovel snow off my path, since it snowed after I did it yesterday and very kindly covered the path back over, but it's just started snowing yet again, so I guess that's a no ::grin::

I've never known a winter this bad, and with this much snow.

And y'all have seen the satellite image of Britain from above, yes? If not, it's here:

I attempted to bake a cake earlier. I say 'attempted' as part of it didn't go entirely to plan. The mixing was fine (even if I ended up ringing [livejournal.com profile] lost_house as I don't have any scales and her measuring jug has a handy-dandy conversion on it for flour and sugar), but it all went a bit to pot once it went in the oven. I'm not really used to my oven yet, although I have noticed it cooks stuff quicker than expected.

Cue one cake, burnt on the top and still uncooked in the middle.

On the upside, the bits that were solid, were nice ::grin::

Ah, well, better luck* next time I guess...
