It was a doing day today!

Went to the comic mart today and picked up the two latest Hellblazer graphic novels and, bizarrely enough, some Supernatural trading cards. Mainly because the basic set was only £2, and I got the set of three boxloader cards (which are really pretty) for a knock-down, cheap ass price *grin* Then I bought chocolate because Whittards was having an 'OMG! Everything half price!' sale for no specific reason.

And then it was torrential rain time. There were mini rivers (and I don't mean midget Tams) running down some of the streets in Newcastle and I got bloody soaked, even with an umbrella. So we went and sat in Starbucks to eat muffins while drying off. (Very slowly, because the roof in their toilets was leaking and water was cascading everywhere, so I couldn't use their hand dryers to dry my shirt.)

Do you know anything of Emily the Strange? Is it worth me braving the rigors of the North Wales library system to see if I can get hold of any?

She's very emo, which worries me, but also seems vaguely cool (and has cats!).

I am such a bad geek. I've read all of the Sandman and one spin-off comic. But graphic novels tend to pass me by somewhat.
